E-commerce website design and build for a natural skincare brand
Field Fresh Skincare was conceived around a decade ago. The founder Laura was struggling to find off-the-shelf skincare products that didn’t cause a reaction. Discovering that fresh, natural ingredients made skincare that was better than anything she could purchase, she wanted everyone to be able to blend their own skincare.
But she knew how much time and energy she’d put into learning about the ingredients, sourcing and gathering herbs and trialling recipes. If she was going to persuade others to get involved, it needed to be much, much easier.
Making skincare fresh maintains the vitality from its plant-based ingredients, means preservatives can be minimised and puts you directly in control of what goes onto your skin and into your body. So thanks to Field Fresh Skincare you can now make your own fresh, natural skincare using local ingredients.

The brief
Laura and I met through a good friend of mine who had completed the logo design for Field Fresh and she was looking to get her products online. Field Fresh Skincare was building a great name for itself locally at various markets in the area and Laura was keen to build the brand and her customer base online. A key part of the natural, blend it your yourself skincare offering was the messaging around the company itself. This needed to be more than a straight forward shop website we needed to show what was happening behind the scenes, why Field Fresh was started, and how it could benefit customers.
The result
Taking the brand pack that Field Fresh already had in the bag I expanded it into the digital world ready for them to start making a mark online. We work together to translate the brand and story behind the products onto the website through the various page sections and a lot of rich blog content. To keep the running costs of the website low we built in the Wordpress CMS meaning be could have the shop element to the website while still having a lot of control over content.
